Another excellent Edublogs.org weblog

The term “flawless consulting” at first glance seems a bit impossible.  What is done in the business world flawlessly?  A better question to ask is when have I seen anything completed flawlessly?  The word flawless is a daunting word that leaves no room for mistakes.  As I read the first couple of chapters on consulting and how to conduct consulting in a flawless manner, it became more practical and less of an unobtainable goal.

I am looking forword to learning how to implement the consulting skills that are being discussed within the text.  I am in an organization that I feel could benefit from my expertise, but I am not yet in a position that can change the entire program.  At this point, I am only in the postion to impact my site.

    Hi, Lindsey,
First, I have to tell you that this is one of the most attractive designs I’ve seen on Edublogs — I’m glad you chose it. You’ve customized it nicely, and the yellow text on blue background is very attractive. Nicely done!

Many people feel daunted by the title of Block’s text, Flawless Consulting. But, as you will see in further chapters, it is the process of consulting (by following all the steps and omitting none) that can be done flawlessly, not necessarily the outcomes. If you are authentic in each and every encounter with the client, and if you operate from a genuinely helpful relationship perspective, you have the potential to consult flawlessly. You can’t be responsible for what the client does or does not do, but you can be true to the process! Welcome to ADLT 610 :-) tjc
